The time has come for some of our favourite Australian brands to dart releasing their new swimwear for their upcoming summer season. One of the first to release new designs is 2EROS. On Monday 17th August the brand is about to release their new, fantastic we think, swimwear collection Bloom. The brand's press release contains a phrase which we think says it all: Take on summer with confidence and make a statement. Indeed, the new Bloom collection is bright and colourful yet very masculine and fashionable. You will find it in two cuts, briefs and shorts. The briefs are in the V10 style of the brand (that's a super low rise fit) and the boxers in the S50 style (that's high cut, fitted and lightweight). Both styles feature polished gold toggles, embroidered logos and leatherette labels.

We have some very exciting news today for the fans of Jack Adams in the UK and Europe: The American brand is now available at VOCLA. The brand's collection is divided in two distinctive categories, their Athletic underwear and their Fashion underwear. Here are a few details about each along with some images with items in stock at the British mens underwear retailer.

Jack Adam Athletic underwear

As probably many of you know, Jack Adams are well known for creating masculine athletic underwear styles. In their range of Athletic underwear you can find briefs, trunks, jockstraps as well as tight shorts. They are made with performance materials such as micro-mesh with breathable and moisture wicking properties, or materials with a high lycra content so that the underwear moves easily when you’re working out in the gym. The second big category in their underwear collection is the Jack Adams Fashion underwear. In this range you can find briefs some of which are made from cotton which would be great for everyday wear, some with micro-mesh as well as some made with transparent sheer mesh. About three weeks ago we showed you a great work with a very athletic feel to it by Armando Adajar with model Chris Wells. In case you missed that post you can see it here. The two men worked together again very recently in a completely different setting to feature underwear by Cover Male. Shot on location with a nice concept/story of a man at home in his underwear, Armando Adajar gives us one more great editorial work. The underwear featured are the CM144 Level Boxer, CM136 Hung Brief, CM142 Smooth Brief, CM145 Passion Bikini and CM140 Slit Boxer by the American brand.

Heya folks! My name is Maurice Bright and welcome to my new fitness column, Fit Corner, here at Men and Underwear. I’m a personal trainer, published fitness writer and published muscle model as far as credentials are concerned. I’m here to educate, fascinate and demonstrate oodles of helpful fitness information and tips for you all to take away and utilize. Now that the boring introductions are sorted, let’s get down to the real fun :-)

Cable kickbacks for a bubblier backside

When it comes to optimizing building muscle, 1st comes barbell exercises THEN dumbbells then machines and lastly cables but is this order of operation mandatory? Can you rearrange each instrument of physical torture and still be optimal? Unfortunately, I’d say no. The reason for that is because if we’re on the topic of optimal performance then barbell moves such as barbell squats, barbell deadlifts and barbell bench press reign supreme primarily due to the copious amount of progressive overload possible on the body. This does not mean you can’t build muscle using other methods, for example, something as simple as cable kickbacks can help turn a flat booty into a sensational romp. Cable kickbacks are literally that; you’re kicking back on the cables with the attachment placed around your ankle as opposed to sitting in the palm of your hand as per usual. What this move does is stimulate the upper hamstring and glutes via constant tension from the cables and from the weight loaded itself – I’d recommend a dosage of high volume laced with slow, controlled movement. Being that you won’t be using a ridiculous amount of weight for this exercise, really focus on controlling the motion and feeling the squeeze of each buttock respectively as you donkey kick back. This may not be a squat but trust me when I say this exercise here has definitely helped to put a few more inches into my compression shorts; programming will read below so try it out and let me know how them cheeks feelin’ after!

Cable kickback itinerary:

1 set of 20 reps

1 set of 15 reps

1 set of 12 reps

1 set of 10 reps

Resting periods in-between sets: A maximum time of 1 minute and a minimum time of 30 seconds.

Additional notes: Remember to squeeze the butt cheek you’re working as you controllably ascend with the weight back and be sure to descend with just as much control.

Just a couple of weeks ago we showed you the first part of the limited edition Flash Line of Modus Vivendi. In case you missed that post you can see it here. We are very happy to show you the continuation of the line, with more new colours added to it and more of that stunning model Alexandros Kaltsidis posing in them.

The new collection of micro mesh jockstraps by PUMP! is now available at Jockstrap Central! The Canadian brand created a very nice collection featuring bold colours using a highly breathable (and very sexy at the same time) micro mesh pouch which is slightly see-through. Well known for their excellent craftsmanship, PUMP! designed their new jocks with double stitching, soft wide elasticated waistbands and according to the guys at Jockstrap Central some of the softest leg straps they have ever encountered!

Canadian underwear brand Garcon Model has just released three new briefs from their F/W 2015-16 collection. The briefs are called Ocean, Dodge and Espanola. They all feature the classic Garcon Model briefs style and are made from a very soft material (Nylon/Elastane blend). Colour-wise the Ocean combines cyan and magenta, the Dodge a classic grey with bright orange accents and the Espanola combines neon yellow and pink. Hard to choose among them so we would go for all three!

We have the pleasure to show you today one more set of amazing photos by Armando Adajar. The photographer collaborated once again with the underwear brand Wood to feature some of their briefs from their current collection. This shoot also introduces the young (and extremely sexy we must say) model Nick Perillo captured beautifully in the woods, a cleverly chosen location by the photographer to match the name of the brand. All the underwear you see Nick wearing are from the Hip Brief collection of Wood and more specifically: Purple, Midnight and Orange Striate, as well as the Wood Orange hip briefs. In our Brief Talk today we speak to Diego Martinez Sanchez. You may have seen his work in Blake Magazine or some of his collaborations with photographers Rick Day, Dylan Rosser or Ashary / Arte Digital among many others. Read below about his dreams and fears and find out which are his favourite underwear brands.

Tell us a little about yourself?
About 5 years ago, I worked as a professional diver, one of my dreams was to be a diving instructor, and work on a nice island. I am currently a therapeutic massage specialist, and occasionally working as an advertising model, because only I measure 5'7'', and obviously working in fashion is extremely difficult.
I am working on my own, although it would be great to work in the future for a good agency.
My idea is to study interpretation. I feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and it really makes me very happy!

How did you get into modelling? 
With the support of my immediate environment, I began my steps in photography, little by little, I got to know good professionals, whom I owe a lot to, not only as professionals but as people who have taught me a lot, and trusted in me :)

What's the best moment in your modeling career so far?
My best, I think have been 90% of the time! I always have fun, I’m always learning something new, and end up with the feeling of being happy by doing something I really enjoy. I would say when I worked with photographers as Ashary / Digital Arts, Eduardo Peris, Pas Ibañez, Dylan Rosser in Ibiza those were true moments of bliss. Just to name a few.

What is your dream job as a model?
I pursue my dream to work in large advertising campaigns for international brands, it's very complicated, but I think that dreams are my driving force; it allows me to put all my efforts into achieving my desires.

Time for us to discuss underwear! How often do you buy underwear and/or lounge pieces?
I love buying clothes, and usually do regularly, I love fashion, although I prefer to follow my own fashion. I like going to stores and seeing which clothes fit me better, but also I like to buy online, brands you do not usually find in Spain.

When you shop for underwear what do you look for?
I always look for something different, designs that are out of the conventional, beautiful lines, as long as it isn’t the same as everything else.

What's your favorite underwear style and brand?
I like tight underwear, some colourful, but white and black is my favorite, with a classic youth flare. I normally decide my style of underwear according to time and the mood. My favorite brands are Rufskin, Aronik, Charlie by Matthew Zink and Moschino.

It's one more work of stunning Alex Cairns with talented photographer Armando Adajar! The two men worked together in a number of photographic sessions recently and today we show you their work for the latest swimwear designs by Ergowear. All the items you see Alex wearing are from the Feel Swim collection of the brand which comprises bikinis, mini trunks and trunks. We like a lot the "evening by the pool" feel of the shoot which, we think, matches perfectly the blue, purple and black tones of the swimwear. Greek mens underwear brand Modus Vivendi continues the presentation of its Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection with one more limited edition, ‘flash’ line and a new campaign for it starring, once again, stunning Alexandros Kaltsidis.

The new line is called Abstract Lace and it comprises a low cut brief, a classic cut brief and a  jockstrap all in two classic colours: pure white or seductive black. These sexy, masculine pieces are made from a fine semi-transparent lace made in France and are contoured to perfectly fit the male form. Not every man has felt lace on his body and this is a perfect opportunity: Modus Vivendi certainly knows how to pull it off! The Abstract Lace line is definitely classy and perfectly represents the brand’s ideals: high fashion, creativity, supreme quality and comfort.

We have seen quite a few brands working with lace for their underwear designs and we think it is the right way forward for the male underwear industry.
The model for this line is once again Alexandros Kaltsidis which you can see posing below in the new lace underwear of this line. This great looking man was photographed on location in Thessaloniki by Panos Misailidis in a shoot that represents effortless chic and modernity.
